Viljandi Hospital Foundation is one of the eleven general hospitals inEstionia. Viljandi hospital is located at the Center-Estonia, near town
Viljandi, Parsti parish. Hospital has 431 licenced beds and it provides
a wide variety of healthcare, social and rehabilitation services. It is
important to notice that Viljandi hospital is one of the two biggest
psychiatric healthcare services providers in Estonia. The Psychiatry
clinic of Viljandi Hospital Foundation is located in a very
patient-friendly environment at the Jamejala park. Psychiatry clinic has
198 licenced beds and it provides two services at state importance
(provided only in Viljandi hospital): forensic psychiatric care and
tuberculosis treatment against person's will, where the patients
treatment begins and ends according to the court order.
Viljandi hospital has approximately 800 employees altogether, among them
about 90 doctors and 250 nurses. In the year of 2008 hospital's budget
was 211 million Estonian kroon.
